Photos

The bleachers at the Albemarle High School football field are packed at football games. The underside of them show depth and shadows.

A friend of mine plays tennis, and seeing this tennis ball made me think of her. Putting it in the fence helped hold it off the ground and focus it, so the background was blurry but the tennis ball was clear.

Photography is a big part of my life. My dad is involved with photography and I hope to be a photographer when I grow up. The camera shows contrast, as well as part of my own life.

My faith means a lot to me. The cross from my room shows contrast, and all of the Bibles lined up show repetition. The cross necklace creates more unity.

Troubleshooting

1. I found developing my negatives easier the second time. The first time was tricky because I had never developed film and had no idea what to expect, whereas the second time, I had a better idea of what I was doing because I'd done it once before.
2. My biggest problem I've been having is trying to roll my film. It takes a while and multiple tries.
3. I've been paying attention to my light meter, but my prints have been turning out gray. My negatives look fine, though.
4. My images have been clear, for the majority. I've been trying to not set a really low shutter because I know that tends to blur photos if the camera isn't stable.

The most exciting part about photography has been seeing our negatives and how they turned out, and the hardest has been trying to roll the film.
